About Us

South Carolina and Aiken County legislative bodies are dominated by Republicans. We are currently at the bottom of the national rankings in education, healthcare, poverty and violent crime. Right wing extremists are expanding their influence at all levels of SC government, pressing their agenda to deny reproductive rights, limit access to health care, restrict voting, ban books, whitewash curricula in our schools, etc.

The Aiken County Democratic Party actively works to preserve our freedoms in the face of the fear and rage promoted by Republicans, believing that our values embracing inclusivity, justice and the common good should instead inform public policy. We work to achieve this primarily by Getting Out the Vote (GOTV), informing and inspiring our fellow citizens to register and participate in every election through grass roots activism.
